These Terms of Use apply when you use the Business Growth Coaching website, create a free BGC account, use a free assessment or planning tool, save a development plan or download free website materials.

By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to these terms. If you use the website for a business or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so on its behalf.

• You must provide accurate required information and keep it reasonably up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out through your account.
• You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
• Only one person should use each individual account unless BGC has agreed a different arrangement.
• A free account does not require payment details or create a paid subscription.

BGC assessments, scores, prompts, plans, reports, templates and resources are practical business-development tools. They are intended to help you think, plan and take action. They do not guarantee a particular business, financial, legal, tax, employment or personal outcome.

You remain responsible for your decisions, actions and results. Where a decision carries material financial, legal, tax, employment, health or safety consequences, you should obtain advice from a suitably qualified professional.

You retain ownership of the information and original content you enter into your account. You give us permission to host, process and reproduce that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, protect and improve the requested service. Our Privacy Notice explains how personal information is handled.

You should not enter confidential information belonging to another person or organisation unless you have the right and authority to do so.

You must not:

• use the website unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm another person;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
• introduce malware, interfere with security or place an unreasonable load on the service;
• copy, scrape, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the website or BGC materials except where the law expressly permits it;
• share, resell or publish account-only or paid materials without written permission; or
• misrepresent BGC content as your own or remove copyright, trade mark or ownership notices.

The website and BGC-created assessments, frameworks, wording, designs, reports, templates, downloads, trade marks and other materials are owned by or licensed to Independent Business Distribution Ltd. Except for the limited permission below, all rights are reserved.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use free account tools and downloaded outputs for your own personal or internal business purposes. This does not allow resale, public distribution, adaptation into a competing product, or use to train an artificial-intelligence model.

We aim to keep the website useful and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may maintain, change, suspend or withdraw a feature where reasonably necessary. We will try to give reasonable notice where a material change affects saved account information.

Online toolkit purchasing, digital downloads, discounts and promotions are not currently available. Toolkit purchasing will be available from 1 October 2026. The purchase terms in this section will apply only when online checkout is activated.

These terms cover free website and account use. A paid product, programme, coaching service, membership or subscription will have additional terms shown before any purchase or confirmed in writing. If there is a conflict, the specific paid-service terms will take priority for that service.

No online payment, checkout, digital download or entitlement is available through the website at present, and no pre-order, reservation or advance payment can be made.

Online toolkit purchasing, digital downloads, discounts and promotions are not currently available. Toolkit purchasing will be available from 1 October 2026. The purchase terms in this section will apply only when online checkout is activated.

When they become available, account-holder discounts and promotions will be subject to eligibility, availability, dates, product exclusions and separate offer terms. Unless stated otherwise, they will not be exchangeable for cash or combinable with another offer. We may correct an obvious pricing or promotional error.

The website may link to or work with services operated by other organisations. We are not responsible for their content, availability or terms. You should review their terms and privacy information before using them.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that protection, free tools and materials are provided for general business-development purposes. We are not responsible for losses caused by relying on them as a substitute for professional advice, by inaccurate information you provide, by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or by use that breaches these terms.

If you use the website wholly or mainly for business purposes, we will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill or data, except where the law does not permit that exclusion.

You may ask us to close your account. We may restrict, suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, the account creates a security risk, or closure is required by law. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

Closing an account may remove access to saved plans and reports. You should download anything you wish to retain before closure. Our Privacy Notice explains what information may still be retained.

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the website, our services or the law. The current terms will be published with their effective date. We will provide reasonable notice of a material change affecting an existing account.

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. You may not transfer your account or rights under these terms without our agreement. We may transfer our rights and obligations where this does not reduce your protections.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights to bring a claim in the part of the UK where you live. If you use the website for business purposes, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
